Here's the trailhead at Crampton Gap/Gapland Road/Gathland State Park.  I don't know why this place needs three names.  I didn't take a picture of it, and apparently, neither did Tino, but there's a memorial here to War Correspondents (journalists).  It's not a particularly attractive monument -- the style reminds me of the new Harold Washington Library in Chicago.


 


A place where Michigan fought valiantly for the Union forces.


 


You may have noticed this overpass if you've driven I-70 from Washington/Baltimore to Pennsylvania.  It looks a lot nicer from here.  What you can't here is the highway noise, which took a hill to diminish it on the other side.
